Abstract

Crustal growth and stabilization in the Andaman accretionary prism (AAP) occur via accretion of allochthonous crust, fragments of oceanic plateaus, and dismembered juvenile arc and ophiolite sequences. Multiple sutures developed in the AAP, as evidenced from multibeam, magnetic and seismic studies, are envisaged as the first-order structures that determine its distinct metallogenic signature. Furthermore, development of Andaman Back Arc Spreading Centre (ABSC) is attributed to a change from compression to more transgression stress regime as the AAP evolves. This stress regime change generates the first-order conduits for episodes of extensive metalliferous fluid flow via the pathways created by significant lateral displacements along the terrane-bounding multiple sutures. Hence, like many other accretionary orogens, complex association between subduction of the Indian plate and associated accretion, deformation, crustal thickening and melting, metamorphism, burial and exhumation may result in a wide variety of magma types, metal source regions and hydrothermal conduits. In conclusion, the expected deposit types in the AAP are volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits, seafloor massive sulphide deposits, rare earth elements and yittrium deposits and podiform chormite deposits.

Abstract

Tamil data, scripts, files needs to be preserved in computing. As there is a need for security in various computer networks fields, the paper mainly focus an algorithm in the field of secrecy , privacy, confidentiality of the documents in a computer system by the principle “ Cryptography “. Cryptography is defined as an art of security technique for computer networks. A computer user to preserve his documents, scripts needs to search for security oriented algorithms, packages, databases which arises an unfulfilled thirst. To quench the security thirst, a recent algorithm namely ‘Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC)’ is framed as it is an approach to public-key cryptography based on some algebraic structure of elliptic curves over finite fields. The creator keeps the knowledge of security key mechanisms such as private key, public keys. The keys which are generated best choose random-numbers that uses products of two large prime numbers as the key. Any user to preserve his documents picks two large random primes as his private key, and publishes the product as his public key. The public key based algorithm ‘Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC)’ is based on the creation of different keys that are difficult to solve without certain knowledge about how they were created. Elliptic curve cryptosystems is computationally efficient than the first generation public key systems such as RSA and Diffie-Hellman algorithms as the report says. As an added advantage the paper mainly focus on ECC based security algorithms for Tamil document privacy. The document related in Tamil words are analyzed commonly as a process which includes security mechanisms that emerges finally in the system as a preserved document.

Abstract

In the past few years, there has been an exponential increase in the amount of information available on World Wide Web. Web pages have been the potential source of information retrieval and data mining technology, but most HTML documents on Internet are cluttered with large amount of less informative and typically unrelated materials such as large amount of banner ads, navigation bars and copyright notices etc. Such irrelevant information is not part of the main content of the pages, they will seriously harm Web mining and searching. In this paper we develop an automatic HTML generator to generate optimized web pages using Web content mining from the already existing web pages. The input for the HTML generator is any HTML webpage or web pages. The web pages are downloaded manually by the user or by using the download manager developed in the automatic HTML generator. These downloaded pages are mined and useful information's are extracted including keywords and stored in the specific location. By using the keywords Web pages are clustered by Dbscan clustering algorithm to identify website category. With the help of these mined resources a new optimized webpage is created. This web page will be user friendly and noise free in nature and it may contains text, images, audio, video, structured list and hyperlink structures. Although only sample web pages of five different categories are considered, the proposed method can be applied to any web pages that can be mined for knowledge extraction.

Abstract

Automated teller machines (ATMs) are well known devices typically used by individuals to carry out a variety of personal and business financial transactions and/or banking functions. In this system we have created the new generation ATM machine which can be operator without the ATM card. By using this system ATM machine can be operator by using our SIM in the mobile phone. When we insert our SIM in the reader unit of the ATM machine it transfers the mobile to the server. In server we can collect the related information of the mobile number (i.e.) the users account details, their photo etc. the camera presented near the ATM machine will capture the users image and compare it with the user image inthe server using MATLAB. Only when the image matches it asks the pin number and further processing starts. Otherwise the process isterminated. So by using this system need of ATM card is completely eliminated we can operate the ATM machine by using our SIM itself. By using this system malfunctions can be avoided. Our transaction will be much secured.

Abstract

Objectives: This paper elucidates the analytical study of the diversity schemes and the channel estimation techniques. Methods/Analysis: The future generation wireless communication systems require high speed data connection with lower bandwidth usage and high QoS with minimal system complexity. So, Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) is one of the best and suitable solutions for future wireless system demands and not disturbing the bandwidth. MIMO offers spatial multiplexing and diversity gains. Findings: The combination of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) with MIMO enables the users to get the advantages of both OFDM and MIMO and Spatial multiplexing concept is used in this system to increasing the spectral efficiency of a system. The signal fading is caused by destructive interference. Novelty/ Improvement: To improve the signal quality, we can use the different diversity schemes and channel estimation techniques and discussed in this paper detail.

Abstract

In this mobile era, design and development of a continuous remote ECG Monitoring System will be of immense help to modern healthcare. Deploying telemedicine/telecare principles, the developed system suggests a feasible solution for continuously monitoring the post-operative conditions of cardiac patients. When the product developed is small in size and exhibits user-friendly operations the patients will feel more comfort in carrying them. The mobile phone technology which has gained tremendous popularity when used as an inter-link between the patient and the physician will be a familiar platform for both of them. Our paper proposes the design of a real time, low cost portable wireless ECG acquisition system which we implement through the common mobile phone and high end recorder. An Alarm system with a notification mechanism is an added benefit to alert both the physician and the patient in case of any abnormalities.

Abstract

This paper presented with the comparative study of flexural behavior of fibre reinforced concrete using recycled aggregates with quarry dust replacement, for reducing cost of concrete and also to meet the demand, locally available waste materials such as quarry dust and recycled materials have been utilized in concrete. To study enhancement of compression test, split tensile strength, flexural strength and modulus of elasticity due to the addition of polypropylene fibres and recycled aggregates with replacement of crusher dust in concrete. The results are obtained the maximum value at a replacement level of 0.5% (S4) of fibers with recycled aggregates and quarry dust which is in compressive strength 28.88 N/mm² and 33.62 N/mm² for 7 days and 28 days respectively, the split tensile strength of concrete reached 1.638 N/mm² and 2.34 N/mm² for 28 days respectively and the flexural strength of concrete beams attains maximum value 14 kN and 54 kN for initial crack load and Ultimate load respectively.

Abstract

Small business and entrepreneurship has emerged as an important area of research over the past 40 years. Much of this development has been achieved by drawing on and adapting the theoretical frameworks of disciplines from outside. In a developing country like India, Small Scale Entrepreneurship plays a significant role in economic development of the country. These industries, by and large represent a stage in economic transition from traditional to modern technology after globalization. The variation in transitional nature of this process is reflected in the diversity of these industries. Most of the small scale industries use simple skills and machinery. Besides playing economic role in the country, small scale industries, because of their unique economic and organizational characteristics, also play social and political role in local employment creation, balanced resource utilization, income generation and in helping to promote change in a gradual and peaceful manner. The study of entrepreneurship is essential not only to solve the problem of industrial development but also to solve the problems of unemployment, unbalanced areas development, concentration of economic power and diversion of profits from traditional avenues of investment. In this backdrop, the present study attempts to get insights to review, in brief, the evolution of the concept of entrepreneurship, the definition of small scale enterprises and also to study the small scale entrepreneurship in Madurai district.

Abstract

Cross border e-Commerce is the general term for purchases made online from businesses in other countries. It involves buying of preferred commodities via websites in other countries or through the online stores available in India. Indian e- Commerce space in this respect is widening day by day. Advent of Technology permits shrinkage of border across the nations and promote online shopping. With the increase in number of online shoppers, the strength of online shopping set to grow exponentially both in volume and value. Preference of varieties, product choices, quality of the produce and its inspection online, comparing the price at the different websites for the similar produce, comparatively lesser price in the online stores when examining the same with the produce sold in the malls or retail stores, congestion in the city traffic and the existence of fatigue among the sales personnel at the malls or business environments forced the consumer and the business personnel to go for online shopping. Around 60 per cent of the respondents have performed their shopping domestically while 35 per cent of the shoppers do shopping in both domestic and cross border e-commerce and around 5 per cent preferred only cross border shopping in the online stores abroad. Online retail sales in China has reached $752 billion during the year 2016 representing 26.20 per cent growth when one could compare the same during the year 2015, it is almost double the growth rate of overall retail sales. When we compare the same with India, the Indian e-Commerce revenue is anticipated to move from $ 26 billion in 2016 to $ 103 billion in 2020 revealed that China is found to be the world leader in e-Commerce trade. But if one could compare the India’s annual growth rate of e-Commerce, it is arrived at 51 per cent while the Chinese e-Commerce market is prevailing at only 18 per cent. The success was mainly attributed to the existence of e-Commerce organizations across India particularly the role played by the Flip kart, Snap Deal and U.S based Amazon. Besides the trade of non-agricultural produce, the agriculture based products and grocery shopping has become the priority produce for the Indian consumers. Compared to China, food product trade is expected to be little higher in Indian online retail. In fact, the penetration levels of online grocery shopping in India are already higher when compared to China from the year 2008-09 onwards. Continued interest in getting the produce at the doorstep of the consumers and the product quality found to be the main reasons apart from price to the city consumers. Food, feed, seed, grains, crop services, crop inputs, farm equipment, agricultural implements and machinery and their parts were found to be the main items of purchase through e-Commerce mode in India and other e-Commerce websites. Lack of Professional Research and Development Team, content based website purely for agricultural and allied produce availability is relatively small, the utilization rate of such website is also small, most of the agricultural websites are lacking professionalism of agriculture, the design and contents of the websites are less attractive are the reasons for slow pick up. Most of the agricultural websites are incapable of reflecting the agricultural information, for help analysis, decision making and the production related information are found to be dismal resulted in poor production, supply and marketing benefits through online. For that the futuristic approaches are to be prioritized with a special form on student exchange programme. In future, the agricultural products will gradually become industrialized such as industrial chain factories in the whole process become more and more standardized. Awareness creation exercises are to be intensified with appropriate higher education programme as evidenced in China are the need of the hour in India to boost the cross border e-Commerce in India. Besides, this paper is also going to attempt on the number of e-Commerce institutions promoting this e-Commerce applications and factors influencing cross border e-Commerce were also discussed.

Abstract

Anthracnose caused by complex of Colletotrichum species is an economically important disease of chilli. The study involved 132 genotypes grown under field conditions. Among the genotypes evaluated, fifteen genotypes were moderately resistant to anthracnose with fairly high yield. In the order of merit, the genotypes were CA 177 (10.74%), Paramakudi 1 (16.64%), F 507 (17.17%), Bird’s eye chilli (17.85%), Kadaladi 1 (19.70%), Ramnad local (20.64%), CO 1 (20.82%), TA/CA/ 10 (21.56%), CA 166 (21.94%), CA 188 (22.29%), Paramakudi 2 (22.45%), CA 13/6 (23.42%), Chilli CO hybrid 1 (24.36%), IC 342465 (24.68%) and CA 165 (25.70%). whereas, 40 genotypes were susceptible with PDI ranging from 26.30 to 50.69 per cent and majority of the genotypes (77nos) were found to be highly susceptible to anthracnose with per cent disease index ranging from 51.81 to 96.42 per cent. The moderately resistant genotypes identified in the present investigation will serve as donors or source of resistance for anthracnose.
